Born out of a desire to create clothes that start conversations, Lizzie Grover Rad founded the women’s ready-to-wear brand Grover Rad in 2022. As an LA-based interior design entrepreneur and art collector, her reverence for art and history shapes every garment. Each collection explores a singular theme, celebrating womanhood and honoring the unsung stories of women throughout history.
During its inaugural year, the brand was nominated to be an interim CFDA member. Following the launch of the brand’s Collection 001, Wandering Womb, the Metropolitan Museum of Art acquired three pieces from the collection that were in collaboration with female comic artists Aline and Sophie Crumb.
Grover Rad focuses on making each piece locally and with integrity by partnering with small, family-owned factories and businesses. Fabrics are carefully considered and sourced responsibly with a focus on natural and sustainably made textiles that are compostable and free of harmful ingredients and toxins. There is a commitment to slow fashion, creating timeless pieces with exquisite craftsmanship. Every collection is produced in limited quantities and intended to stand the test of time.
